Nurses

Advanced Nurse Practitioners  -  Carol McLaughlin and Caroline MCrae

Our Advanced Nurse Practitioners are important members of the Practice team taking on some of the more routine tasks that used to be carried out by a GP.  Advanced Nurse Practitioners are trained specialist nurses who have undertaken additional medical education in order to provide advanced nursing care and to prescribe medication.

Practice Nurse - Margaret Morris

Treatment Room Nurse  -  Caroline Wilkie

Margaret and Caroline carry out dressings, ear syringing, taking blood, injections, smears, ECGs and other procedures as well as assisting the doctors with minor surgery and coil and implanon fitting.  They also both hold Chronic Disease clinics in the management of COPD, Asthma Diabetes, Hypertension, Stroke and CHD.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare Assistant - Susan Allen   

Phlebotomist  -  Claire MacDonald

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks.
