IMPORTANT NOTICE

IMPORTANT  UPDATE  ON VISITING THE PRACTICE

PLEASE SEE "LATEST NEWS" AND "CORONAVIRUS" SECTIONS ON OUR SITE FOR ADVICE

When We Are Closedclosed_sign

Out with the surgery opening times there will be a recorded message on the telephone requesting patients to call NHS 24 on 111.

This is a centralised emergency call centre manned by call handlers and trained triage nurses who will assess your problem and organise for you to receive the appropriate care or advice. This may involve receiving telephone advice from the nurse or having an emergency consultation with a GP based at the nearest Primary Care Emergency Centre.

Details of all contacts are relayed back to the patient's own practice the following day.

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.  See "Out of Hours Advice" in the Further Information section, on this site.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
